Vacation Bible School 2019

ROAR! Vacation Bible School 2019 was a success! The kids had fun the teachers were exhausted (this is good eh?) And all went home with smiles on their face.

The days were filled with African themed adventure for the whole herd. At Roar, kids explored God’s goodness and celebrated a ferocious faith that powers them through this wild life.

At Roar VBS, kids travel through rotations that reinforce relevant Bible Points and immerse kids in new adventures.

Each day a short video was shown that showed the lives of African children and how thankful they are for the things they have. It was a good glimpse of another world for our group. Both kids and adults.

Activities included a game time, bible stories, crafts, singing, and of course the all important snacks. Most importantly the kids had a serious bible study time where they learned bible truths and were allowed to ask any questions they like.

Our fearless leader has a special talent for getting the kids going!

Teens are a huge help during the day! They have the energy needed to keep the kids going at game time and still come in and demonstrate worship by helping to lead the song time.

The Sanctuary is decorated in a Safari Theme

The sanctuary is decorated in African themed decor including a hut, monkeys, lions, and crazy safari Joe.

Crazy Safari Joe is really Pastor Jim in Disguise.
I don't know who enjoys this more.... Pastor Jim or the kids.

Where truth is taught and kids encouraged.

A time of serious bible study is a most important time of the day. Bible verses are studied and memorization encouraged. A bible truth is taught and the kids can ask anything they want.
